exchange rates are better in Bangkok than in my home country (Singapore).

Usually open Mondays to Fridays 9:30am to 3:30pm. Close on Public Holidays
Currency: Thai Baht
1 Baht = 100 Satangs
Denominations: 1000 , 500 , 100 , 50 , 20 , and 10 Baht denominations.
Coins: 25 satang, 50 satang
Try to keep a good amount of smaller notes for change.
Travelers Cheques
Major currency bills and travelers cheques are cashed easily at hotels, tourist shops, major shopping malls and money changers. Travelers Cheques are best changed in banks. And remeber, you will need your passport.
Another tip: Rates of exchange at banks or authorised money changers are better than those at hotels and department stores.

Any amount of foreign currency may be brought into the country. Visitors may take foreign currency out of Thailand, but no more than the amount stated in the customs declaration made on arrival.
Travelers leaving Thailand may take no more than 50,000 baht per person.
