Bangkok Suvarnaburi Airport Quick Facts:

Covers and area of 20,000 rais or 8,000 acres
15 km from the Samut Prakarn Province and about 25 km from downtown Bangkok
The name Suvarnaburi means “The Golden Land”
Has the world's tallest control tower (132.2 m), and the world's third largest single building and airport terminal (563,000 m²), a little smaller than Hong Kong International Airport
The airport has two parallel runways and two parallel taxiways to accommodate simultaneous arrivals and departures
Suvarnabhumi is one of the busiest airports in Asia
