Hong Kong With Family & Kids
I may not have any kids yet. But no harm doing research to prepare for a fun filled Family-holiday in Hong Kong, right? Here are some good places to bring the little ones, with a good mix of fun and education.
Hong Kong Disneyland
Wow. 10 million visitors year! This theme park must truly live up to its name as part of the Disneyland corporation. Fairytale castles, Mickey Mouse, Snow White, rides ... need I say more? What's great about this 126 hectare park is that it includes two themed hotels. Now I know that's something want to try, with or without the kids!
Ocean Park
I love dolphins and other marine animals, so my kids are definitely coming to this theme park. Not just a place of adrenalin-pumping theme rides, there are also giant pandas, sea lions and an aquarium here. Great way to teach the kids about marine creatures. Another plus point? Admission free for under 3s and over 65s.
Hong Kong Park and Aviary
From sea creatures to birds. With more than 150 species of birds, an artificial lake, and a tai-chi garden, this walk-through aviaryis a great place for some peace and quiet in busy Hong Kong, and for bird-watching.
Hong Kong Wetland Park
I know my kids will enjoy the Swamp Adventure Play Area. After that, the whole family can look at exhibitions, and go to the Wetland Interactive World. This natural reserve was created to protect Hong Kong's fast decreasing wetland ecosystem.
