My last visit to Hong Kong was about 20 years back, and my memories of it are eating at the Chinese Floating Restaurant and visiting the Ocean Park. While those still remain as Hong Kong highlights, I'm sure this vibrant city has evolved over the last two decades, with even more night spots, 5-star hotels and shopping centers flourishing everywhere.

There are ferries departing from Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong Island.
Nearest MTR: Sheung Wan MTR station, at Shun Tak Centre
Nearest hotel: Island Pacific Hotel

From Hong Kong - China Ferry Terminal

You can also depart from Hong Kong -China Ferry Terminal in Kowloon
Nearest MTR: Tsim Sha Tsui station
Nearest hotel: Royal Pacific Hotel (hotel lobby linked to the ferry terminal)

Hong Kong to Macau by Hydrofoil

By Hydrofoil (or Jetfoil or ferry )
Jetfoils depart every 15 minutes.
Hydrofoils operate 24 hours a day.
The cheapest one way ticket is HK$134. The ride takes one hour.
Besides Macau, there are also ferries going to China cities from here.
