The last time I went to Malacca was about 6 years ago, but because it was a church camp, I did not get to move about this historical town to do my own sightseeing. It's a pity because I would have seen all the grand Dutch buildings, the Portuguese churches, and the historical forts.  And the next time I come here, I am definitely gonna try some 'fantabulous' Peranakan food!

  • At Jonker Walk.
  • A huge restaurant serving this dish.

Dutch Harbour Café

  • Opposite St Francis Xavier Church, inside red colored shophouses.
  • Has indoor and outdoor (including riverside ) dining.
  • Go for the Beef Pepperoni or 3-Cheese pizza, or the Coffee Mocha Cheese cake

Jalan Kee Ann

  • Outdoor food stalls, open 6pm to 11pm.
  • Try local food like won ton mee, popiah, soup kambing and wash it down with sugar cane juice.

Tengkera Mee Soup

  • Located along Jalan Tengkera.
  • Noodles cooked in Chinese style but by a Malay Muslim vendor.

Geographer Café

  • At Jonker Walk.
  • A restaurant/bar in a restored Malacca shophouse.
  • Lively ambience with occasional live music.

Hing Loong Taiwanese Noodle

Tasty beef, pork chop or pig trotter noodles in soup or in sauce.

Capitol Satay Celup

  • One of the best places to see this dish.
  • Charges by per skewer.

Hoe Kee

Also famous for chicken rice ball.
