Language:  Khmer is the official language, but French is also spoken.  And English is fast becoming popular among the younger generation.
 
Tipping: Not expected but welcomed in hotels and restaurants.  Hotels usually add a 10% service charge, but feel free to be generous as salaries can be quite low.  And best to tip your tour guides.
 
Shops Opening Hours:  Most open Monday to Sunday from 8:00am to 7:00pm
Markets Opening Hours: From 6:00am to 5:00pm
Shops and market are closed on public holidays.
