Joy's Travel Notes About Siem Reap
When people visit Siem Reap, it’s almost always to visit the magnificent Angkor Wat. This is because Siem Reap is the nearest town to this UNESCO Heritage site. And because of the influx of visitors to the Angkor Temples, hotels and restaurants have also started booming in Siem Reap.
But this small colonial town has other draws as well. Another popular site is the Tonle Sap. This is a huge natural reservoir that offers relaxing boat rides, a great way to enjoy the town’s calming rivers. Lesser known attractions but should not be missed when you are here is the center of arts and crafts (Artisans D’ Angkor), the Land Mine Museum and the Crocodile Farm.
