About this volunteer activity project
This orphanage is managed by a group of fairly well-educated Cambodians. Some of them had work opportunities overseas yet they chose to stay behind to help their own.
There are 36 orphans in this orphanage in Phnom Penh City. The orphans are between 2 to 18 years old.
Why go for this volunteer work
Come help these children. Share with them your knowledge and your skills. Teach them English, as it allows them to communicate with the English speaking world. A good command of English will open a whole new world of opportunities to them.
Activities during volunteer travel
Besides teaching English, volunteer activities may include teaching science, geography, arts, crafts, music, dance etc. Dental and medical volunteers are also welcome. Volunteers can also help by being a general helping hand, and help take care of the younger children.
